This is a great service.
Ghanaians also need lots of health education for preventive medicine.

i'm happy to see the GhanaCare site. infact, we've done little in the healthcare
areas, we still have much more to achieve technologically and i hope that ghanaians
living home and abroad can contribute financially to the newer instruments the
doctors and nurses as well as pharmacists can work with. i will also would like
to see the upgrade of the hospitals throughout the country aswell both interior
and exterior furnished to meet the criteria of a latest hospitals, i oppose cash
and carry system, there are not enough ghanaians working to pay for healthcare
or drugs. it is a crime against humanity based on the cash and carry system,
the government must find a suitable way to deal with it. we have a long way to
achieve our ambitions, we have barely started.

i am really impressed by your highly innovative idea regarding this approach to healthcare delivery in ghana. these are some of the positive changes we need to embrace in ghana and of course, the need to continously seek to improve them. though, currently affordable only to those with families overseas who can afford it, however most households in ghana don't have relations abroad. i hope we can all work to make the idea highly efficient so as to lead to lower cost of operation for wider access.

I am a Ghanaian. I am a nurse by profession who has worked in Ghana till November, 2002 when I came to the UK for more experience. I am sure to go back one day.
May I take this opportunity to thank you very much for your tremendeious efforts putting up in Ghana. May I also know the mode of your choice of the site/area to work. If it does not involve any strict rule then I plead with you that you also focus your plans on Kwame Danso, because it is obvious that many people are dying there because of poverty. Because the place looks more or less deprived most of the people dying in that district and its surrounding communities is due to "No Money".
I know very well that the government is trying her best in terms of primary health but I would like to plead with you as voluntary organization to cast your mind to us at Kwame Danso District and consider us.
Thank you.

I guess this is a good initiative. I would however, recommend that the program should try to adopt more of preventive health programs that would culturally appropriate to our situation. And the work of the organization should be backed with data and an evaluation component to justify the success or otherwise of the program.
All the best.

Congratulations, Dr. Tuffour. What you have accomplished is truly inspiring, and I pray that you have many more successes. I hope to sign on with your healthcare plan soon, so that my cousins, uncles and aunts at home can have steady health care services. The present cash and carry situation in Ghana is simply hell, and we need more innovative methods (such as yours) to help our people. Thanks, Doc., for the great job you have done.
